Raf Simons has been known to push an envelope or two and he does just that with CHRISTIAN DIOR’S Fall 2013 couture collection, spilling over with as much color, texture, print, and variety of silhouettes as la Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture will allow. Still hinting at tradition with cinched waists, ladylike gloves, and dainty ankle-strap pumps, the conventions of the medium are turned on their head with splashes of grunge, futuristic PVC, and enough sheer dresses to get buttoned-up Parisian socialites in a tizzy.
